Kyaithiyo hotel is one of 2 hotels on the kyaithiyo mountain. It is the closet one to the golden rock. If you go in the good weather condition, you can see the rock from your room. Too bad that I went on bad weather (in June) so all I could see was just foggy weather.
Again I went with tour group so I can't give information about the price. But from what I've heard, it's kinda expensive as it is one of 2 hotels there.
There are many buildings in the hotel area. The one that I stayed look like the newest building and closet view to the rock. The room is really simple, clean and has hot water for cold weather up on the mountain :)
Been there...Done that
Nothing much about my life that I want to share to the world

Hotel Yangon, Myanmar
I went to Myanmar with tour group because I went with my parents and didn't want them to have that much experience like when I travelled alone or with friends haha.
We stayed at hotel Yangon, 3 stars hotel which is right in the middle of town. The hotel is kinda old. It has 2 elevators that were broken easily when it rained so hard. Be careful :)
I'm sorry that I can't give the information about price as I went with tour group. However I can show some pics of the room so you can get some idea about the hotel.

Silver Sand Restaurant, Koh Samet Thailand
Silver Sand is another famous restaurant on Koh Samet as the beautiful and nice view and good decoration of the restaurant that there are many seats under big big trees.
At night time, you can eat on the beach as you can see from the pic.
The food here is reasonable price with reasonable taste and serve quick. I will recommend you to come here if you stay around Ao Phai or Ao Tubtim.
Actually silver sand has a bar that starts from about 11pm till 3am that is so famous on the island. This last time I went there, the people are mostly gay on the dance floor hehe. But still I had so much fun with gays or straight (it really doesnt matter).
If you like to dance, meet new people both local and tourists. This is the place for you on Koh Samet :) The bucket price starts from 300 to 400 baht.

Ao Phai Hut, Koh Samet
I just came back from Koh Samet (Samet island). This trip was so nice though it rained some days but I still had good weather and sunny day there.
The beach I stayed is called 'Ao Phai' (Phai beach). It is about 30 mins walking from pier. It's beautiful beach between two famous places/restaurants which are Jep's bangalow and Silver Sand restaurant.
'Ao Phai Hut' is accommodation that is not right next to the beach, most bungalows are up on the hill. You have to walk up stairs for lil bit. However you can see sea view from your room balcony.
The room I stayed has 2 big beds that can fit 4 people with AC, hot water, TV and refrigerator. The place also has FREE wifi. I bargained for 750 baht/night (original price is 1,000 baht). I think it's depends on season you go there and how many night you stay. I think now it's low season cause it rains almost everyday.
This place is not fancy or new but it's good enough for people who dont spend much time in the room and looking for place to sleep and chill.

Babi Guling,Ibu Oka, Ubud
When I arrived in Ubud at 1pm, I walked passed this open air restaurant and had to stop to take this pic.
It was kinda crowded at that time of the day. I didn't have time to eat on my 1st day there but I came back on the 2nd day almost 4pm when the restaurant was quiet and no people.
I asked the driver from my day tour about the restaurant and he said it's pretty famous one in Ubud and the price is kinda pricey. However I still wanted to try especially when it was no people and I was so hungry hehe.
I opened the menu and the cheapest dish is the one I order which I can't remember the name. They have pictures and everything so it's easy to order anyway.
The dish I ordered was 30,000IDR which was kinda expensive when I found out that normally local food from local shops like pedang place cost only 10,000 - 15,000 IDR. And at Ibu Oka, there was 10% tax!!! WTF?!?!?!
Anyway I finished it so quick as I was soooo hungry after all day tour around Ubud. The taste was ok, not that special for me. It was just pork, crispy pork skin and sth crispy with lil bit of spices flavors. The sauce was not spicy at all for me (Thais who can eat spicy food everyday and every meal haha).
If you want to try, it's pretty famous place that you can ask any driver for direction. And I also can tell you now....the restaurant is at the junction of Ubud palace. If you turn your face to the palace and behind you it's Ubud information centre, then you will see this street next to the main one in front of you. Walk along the street beside palace (not the main one) and the restaurant is on your left side. So easy to find. You walk from main street like 1min :)
Ask people 'Where is Ibu Oka?' and they will tell you is what I will suggest you to do.
Bon appetit :)

Cheap and nice place to stay in Ubud
Hi all,
It's been too long that I haven't stopped by here as I have been kinda busy with the job that I talked about before lol. Anyway I'm still working with logistics company and kinda enjoy it little bit more than before.
I had a chance to work in Indonesia for few days and took extra days on weekend for travelling in Bali. I chose Ubud as many people said Kuta is for surfing and party. I was not in the mood for those at that time so Ubud was the answer and I can say that I really like Ubud!!!!!!!!
It's nice small town with not that much party vibe at all. People are nice including tourists. They aren't that party type.
I searched for many cheap hostels before but at the end I just walked around and found one. I was so lucky :)
The one I stayed was in the small street opposite Cafe Lotus, which is located near Starbucks. It's so easy to find! You just walk in the street and you will find the sign of accommodation on the right side.
It's called 'Anggada house'. It's more like homestay. The room I stayed is so big with big bed for 2 person and private bathroom. The sign say there is hot water but I didn't feel any hot from the water haha. Anyway I didn't have problem with cold water so it was all fine.
The view in front of the room was bamboo forest with running small river that you can hear the running sound all day and night. It's soooo nature!! I love it :)
And the price including local breakfast (small banana pancake, fruit and tea). You can bargain the price. I got it at 80,000 IDR per night (in low season which is in February).
The host are so nice. The location is so good. I hope you will enjoy staying there like me.
